The Most Beautiful Wisteria Tree in Japan

At the Ashikaga Flower Park in Tochigi (Japan), sits the most incredible Wisteria tree in the world, held by beams like an umbrella. It’s a climbing plant of the Fabaceae family and from the glycines species.

They’re appreciated for their ornemental aspect and their purple, white or blue spring flowers, perfect for the big arcades. The one at the Ashikaga Flower Park was planted in 1870, so it’s 146 years old today.
