Stavronikita Project: Underwater Photography

Austrian photographer andreas franke has shifted his underwater photography work. the stavronikita suffered a fire with no hope for reclamation and was resigned to an eternity at the silent depths of the sea at 13.8 N, 59.38 W, however franke has resurrected the fossilized wreckage through an ongoing photographic series called ‘the sinking world’ that explores the elaborately ornamental late baroque style of rococo. viadesignboom
