15 Powerful Pictures from Environmental Photographer of the Year 2015

The 111 shortlisted photos have been chosen from more than 10,000 entries by amateur and professional photographers across the world. Environmental issues from sustainable development to poverty, climate change and human rights are to go on show in London.

The winner of the £5,000 award, which was set up in 2007 by the Chartered Institute of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM), will be announced on 25 June.

The shortlisted images for the Atkins CIWEM Environmental Photographer of the Year will be on display at the Royal Geographical Society from 22 June to 10 July.
